The Holiday Inn, Leesburg, Virginia presented the most glorious, magnificent wedding on May 28, 2011 that a person could ever imagine! It was truly a superb and splendid event. We chose this Holiday Inn because in years past, my husband and seven children had enjoyed Easter Brunch at this location.
Let me begin by praising the ‘General Manager’, Mr. Davis Brooks—he was a champion at making our many guests feel extremely welcome. Some guests traveled from as far as Seattle, Washington and Kansas City, Missouri. He was on top of many details and said to my husband and I “If you need anything you let me know, I will be here that weekend, and will give you my cell number if you should have any concerns at all, please do not hesitate to call me!”
Then there is a gentleman named Mr. Santiago Poblete, ‘Director of Food and Beverage’ who is absolutely the best in his field! He listened to and heard all of our demands for my daughter’s wedding, and trust me there were plenty of things for him to juggle in this regard. From the first time we met him, he was on board and very gracious with all of our challenging requests! He is a super star in his field. He was able to take the lead with all of his wait staff who obviously respect him immensely and do gladly perform for him. The wait staff in their own right is a top notch crew of individuals. Mr. Poblete was at the holiday well past the end of our reception—11:00 PM or so, because I saw him in his office concluding the evening with his staff. Then at the crack of dawn he was back in the restaurant, fresh as a daisy greeting all of my guests for breakfast. Again his staff was bending over backwards to quickly serve coffee and orange juice to my guests. Just know this—Mr. Santiago Poblete is a jewel of an artist in his field! I have another daughter to marry and you had best believe that we will be back to the Holiday Inn, Leesburg, Virginia for her special wedding day.
Then I would be remiss if I did not praise, applaud, commend and give a special thanks to Mr. Charles Floyd—the ‘Executive Chef’ at Carradoc Hall, Leesburg, Virginia. He made for us the ‘Grilled Marinated Salmon’--the best salmon that my sisters have ever eaten, including a very special sauce added on the side. The ‘Pepper Crusted Beef Tenderloin’ was so lean, flavorful and delicious. What a wonderful Chef Charles is!
Needless to say my husband and I had a glorious event at the Holiday Inn, Leesburg, Virginia, spearheaded by Mr. Santiago Poblete. My daughter, her parents, and guests will have fond memories of our wedding on May 28th, 2011 for a lifetime. We thank you.

I wanted to send you a brief note regarding our stay at the Holiday Inn over the past weekend. On Saturday, my daughter’s wedding celebration took place at River Creek Country Club – a few miles away from the Leesburg Holiday Inn. A few months ago, we made arrangements with the hotel for accommodations for our out of town guests.
Initially, there were some miscommunications. Reservations were not handled in a professional manner and, in some cases, were misplaced. All of this changed when Ms. Heather Turkay took over as the hotel’s point of contact. Ms. Turkay’s professionalism, pleasant demeanor and attention to detail were truly commendable. On a routine basis, she provided an update of reservations received, which enabled us to remind the few attendees who had forgotten to reserve their rooms. During the course of several weeks before the wedding, Ms Turkay was in constant communication with my wife, attending to numerous details and offering helpful advice.
On the day before the wedding, as many of our guests began to arrive, Ms. Turkay was at the front desk providing them helpful assistance as they checked in and advice on local places of interest. Several of our friends informed us of their delight in the service and hospitality. Furthermore, the rehearsal dinner took place at the hotel and the food and the service was outstanding. Frankly, Ms. Turkay could not have done a better job if her own daughter were being married. You are truly fortunate to have such a dedicated and competent employee.
